ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

Abstracts must be coherent with the topic call and are expected to highlight:

Objectives
Approach and methodology
Originality and level of innovativeness
Value of contents against the state of the art
Achievements and limitations

please write your abstract in a concise and clear style following the listed points.

The title must be in English and must not exceed 90 characters.

The abstract must be written in English and a maximum length of 350 words is allowed.

Please consider that despite your preferences, the Organizing Committee might move you in the most fitting topic according to the scientific committee’s advice.

Selection and publication processes

Authors will submit their abstracts adhering to the instructions above through the ConfTool platform, where the contribution will enter a double-blind peer review process by the Scientific Committee. NEXT BUILT ensures a fair and transparent process is undertaken by all the members involved.

Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to register to the conference and present their work during the event (submitting the presentation adhering to the guidelines by 1 week ahead).

Authors will also be invited to submit the full version of their contribution for inclusion as a chapter in a book to be published by Springer by the end of 2026. Please note that all submitted papers will undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by the Scientific Committee.

Important note: One registration fee to the conference must be associated to each contribution. Each registration entitles the author to join to the conference with a presentation. Furthermore, it enables the associated paper to be published in the Springer book.

Authors may request Open Access publication of their chapter. In this case, additional fees will apply according to the following conditions: https://www.springernature.com/gp/open-science/journals-books/books/pricing.

Conditions

By submitting an abstract, the author(s) agrees that in case of acceptance, the contribute will be presented at NEXTBUILT Conference.
Authors must ensure that the submitted contribute is their original work.
Abstract must be submitted via the dedicated web platform.
All submissions – both abstracts and papers – must follow the provided formats.
The inclusion of trade names/brand names is not allowed in the abstract/papers.
The use of AI to generate the contribution is not allowed. Each submitted contribution will be cross-checked by dedicated software. AI is allowed to generate images and language style editing.

By submitting their abstracts and papers, the authors give the organisers their consensus to manage their work for the purpose of the Conference, including the rights to use, distribute, publish, record, broadcast, reproduce and archive the work.
