The Season End Exhibit Seminar of ACPCL design studio in “Building Design for Climate Change” offers the opportunity to publicly discuss the outcomes of the design studio with invited external advisors and the teaching staff. This design studio aims to stimulate students to deliver innovative solutions and fresh design concepts to meet ambitious targets challenging them in a test bed site under regeneration.

NEXTBUILT Observatory is hosting a special lecture by Dr. Gareth Doherty, Director of the GSD Master in Landscape Architecture program and the Critical Landscapes Design Lab.
The event will explore landscape architecture’s ethical and political power to shape the world. It is organized in cooperation with the University of Bologna Dept. of Architecture and Dep.t of Cultural Heritage, and Scuola Superiore di Studi sulla Città e il Territorio.

The open-access book “Architectures for EU Next Generation Cities – Challenges, Key Drivers and Research Trends”, published by Franco Angeli Editore, attempts to provide an overview of the primary factors influencing the evolution of European urban environments and their needs, while keeping an eye on the possible fallout on local policies – both within the EU and beyond – as well as global trends.
Four priority topics are discussed: city resilience, the energy demand of cities and buildings, future needs, and the potential for applying circular models.
