All submissions entered a double-blind peer review process according to the rules of the Scientific Committee and the IOP policies. NEXT BUILT ensures a fair and transparent process. 

All accepted papers have been published in a NEXTBUILT 2024 special issue of IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (EES), an open-access publication indexed by Scopus, WEb of Science, Ei Compendex, etc. (CC BY Licence).

The proceedings explore four key areas in a sustainable built environment:

3️⃣ New paradigms in buildings’ and components’ expected Service Life

4️⃣ Tools and means to go beyond the climate neutral transition
